Yesterday (12/11/24) 12 students from our school and 3 other school with about 95-100 days of attendance were chosen to go to Hobbiton which was a two hour drive there and back. I was luckily selected because of my 99-100 attendance and it was even better because it was a free experience when it originally cost 60.00-$306.00, depending on your selection in packs. When the 12 kids from our school and some other schools first arrived, we had a free snack from the gift shop which was two ham cheese sandwiches, one ginormous apple, one chocolate cookie with chocolate icing and topped with peanuts plus one apple or an orange juice.
After having a snack on some benches, some of the students and teachers went to the bathroom and so did I but little did I and some of my friends of the opposite gender as me walked in separate bathrooms we saw the wrong gender in the wrong bathroom, there was a old man in the ladies room and a woman in the men’s bathroom. I looked away in disbelief and when my friends told me there was a woman in their bathroom I started laughing in confusing.
Later on after that incident in the bathrooms we waited in line for the 11:40 bus to get us to hobbiton, the movie set up. When the bus arrived all my friends and I were trying to contain our joy inside to not run towards the bus but it failed half way through and we let our tentation run our bodies. Later on I almost got in trouble but it was worth it. The bus was huge, there were heaps of seats and there was even a TV talking about what we were about to experience and it hyped up the whole bus but we kept quiet throughout the rest of the ride but not long after we hopped out and could already see all the little round doors and a small garden.
During the walk they told us some facts to keep us entertained, one of them was a fact about that most of the hobbits houses that aren’t recorded inside don’t have have anything inside the hobbit home unless the door is kept open by a little bit and you can only see a peek of some stuff or on the window. The experience was pretty cool and I recommend that if you want to go to cool places or get cool things from school then start coming to school every day to up your attendance.
